To boost international arrivals and support tourism recovery and growth, the Government of Vietnam has introduced key visa and promotional policies in 2025.
Visa Exemption Extended for Citizens of 12 Countries
On March 7, 2025, the Government issued Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP, extending the visa exemption policy for citizens of 12 countries: South Korea, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Russia, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
Under the policy, eligible citizens can enter and stay in Vietnam for up to 45 days regardless of passport type or entry purpose, provided they meet Vietnam’s legal entry requirements. This policy is effective from March 15, 2025 to March 14, 2028, with potential extension based on future reviews.
Visa-Free Entry for Poland, Czech Republic, and Switzerland Under Tourism Stimulus Program
Earlier, on January 15, 2025, the Government also passed Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP, offering visa-free entry for citizens of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland from March 1 to December 31, 2025.
This policy applies exclusively to tourists participating in tours organized by licensed international travel companies in Vietnam. Travelers must meet legal entry conditions, hold a passport valid for at least 6 months, and present a confirmation of participation in a registered tour program.
Detailed guidelines, application procedures, and promotional incentives under Resolution 11/NQ-CP are publicly available at the official tourism portal:
