With great sadness, the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in the United Arab Emirates announces the passing of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong on July 19th, 2024.

With his visionary leadership and unwavering dedication, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has made significant contributions to the national construction and development of Viet Nam. His passing is a tremendous loss to the Party, the State, the People of Viet Nam and his family. A State funeral will be held in Viet Nam on July 25th-26th, 2024, to honor General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and his remarkable legacy.

A Book of Condolences wil be opened at the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in the United Arab Emirates, Villa No – 147 Salama Bint Butti St – Al Mushrif – Abu Dhabi at the following times:

– Thursday, July 25th, 2024 and Friday, July 26th, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 16:00 PM
